If you wander up the hill beside the Witches Tower in San Diego’s Presidio Park, you’ll discover a magical little area: a bridge surrounded by trees from around the world. It’s shady, peaceful, and full of natural surprises—perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or even a Girl Scout ceremony.
Presidio Park is home to an incredible variety of trees, making it a living museum of plant life. Here are just a few you might spot:

🌲 Arizona Cypress – with silvery-blue needles that shimmer in the sun
🌲 Coast Redwoods – some of the tallest trees in the world, right here in San Diego!
🌲 Torrey Pines – rare and uniquely adapted to our coastal climate
🌿 Jerusalem Thorn – with bright green stems and delicate yellow blooms
🌴 Lily Palms – slender, elegant palms with feather-like leaves
🌳 Acacia aneura – Mulga Wattle is a special guest from Australia, and possibly the only one of its kind in San Diego!
And don’t miss the Eucalyptus Grove, where more than eight different eucalyptus species fill the air with their crisp, refreshing scent.
